In the Summer of 2020, we hosted a series of live, online arts events called The Golden Thread as a way to support to artists during the Pandemic. Note: They were originally hosted on kymberleedellaluce.com but have been moved here for the sake of legacy and continuity.

The Golden Thread Online Arts Experience

The Golden Thread

a live online arts experience

The Golden Thread is a LIVE interdisciplinary online arts experience featuring Seattle artists that has been called “fabulously defiant creativity” and “a much needed break”. We exist as a platform to allow artists from multiple disciplines to create work and get paid by supportive audiences. As arts venues are closed in light of public health concerns around COVID-19, Kymberlee is creating a space for community, dialogue, and fulfillment through the arts to persist and to allow our artists to thrive.

Our first two shows have been very well-received and generated much-needed income for the artists and some delightful entertainment for our community. We look forward to continuing to engage in this circle of support.

for audiences

How does a live online show work?

Artists gather online and create a show. Rehearse. Get the lighting and audio just right. We feel the nerves and excitement of opening night. Then we put on a show!

As an audience, you buy tickets to enjoy the excitement of a LIVE event. You can dress up or stay in your comfies then sit back, relax, and allow us to entertain you with music, poetry, theater, dance, and art.

Audience members will be be able to bid on the live visual art being created with bids closing at the end of the show.

10% of the profits from the live event will be donated to a different non-profit for each show.

When you purchase a ticket, you will receive a receipt as confirmation and a download with access information to view the live broadcast.

Selling tickets directly means the artists get paid sooner and the audiences don’t pay fees. All sales final except in the unlikely event that the event is cancelled.

  • 50% of the ticket sales + the art sale for the live event will be split equally among all performers and sent to your payment method of choice the week after the show.
